Tile showers and backsplashes in Appleton and the Fox Valley

Tile showers, tub surrounds, floors and kitchen backsplashes, set by a father-daughter team. Tile is the part of a bathroom we like best.

White bathtub alcove with gray-white tile laid in a herringbone pattern on one wall and stacked vertically on the other, black shower fixtures, a wood bath tray and black hexagon floor tile.

What we do

Tile and backsplashes: what we do

We set tile in showers, around tubs, on floors and behind kitchen counters for homeowners in Appleton and around the Fox Valley. It is work we love, especially new tile in a shower.

Aaron and Ava are on the job site every day. Wendy Ihlenfeldt hired us for her master shower and wrote this about Ava in her review: “She took each river rock stone off the individual sheet. She then placed every single one by hand to its resting place.”

The photos on this page are all our own jobs: niches lined in mosaic, a quartz bench, a herringbone tub surround, a black hexagon floor, and backsplashes in brick-look, subway and herringbone tile. A backsplash can be a job by itself. Call or text Aaron at (920) 850-1010 for a free quote.

We work in Appleton, Menasha, Fox Crossing, Neenah and Greenville, and nearby.

  • Tile showers

Walk-in showers and shower stalls in large stone-look tile, marble-look tile, dark slate-look tile, and white stacked tile beside a green fluted wall. Some carry an accent, like the black glass mosaic band in the marble-look shower.

  • Niches and benches

Recessed niches with glass or quartz shelves, some lined in mosaic tile. A built-in bench, a corner bench and a quartz bench all show up in the showers on this page.

  • Tub surrounds

A herringbone wall next to stacked tile, with a niche set into the surround. The gallery also has an in-progress photo from 2019 of a surround in white wavy subway tile with dark grout, a mosaic band and two mosaic-backed niches.

  • Tile floors

Black hexagon tile beside a tub, a herringbone mosaic shower floor, and a black and white patterned floor in a laundry room. Our floor tile has included hex, octagon and river rock.

  • Kitchen backsplashes

Brick-look tile, white subway tile, and herringbone tile behind a range with a pot filler. Backsplashes are also part of our kitchen remodels.

  • Accent walls and special requests

A gray and white chevron wall behind a vanity, and antique mirror glass tile behind the shelves of a hangout room for a client in Menasha. A dog wash station is on our list too, so ask if you want one.

The herringbone tub surround

This is the tub in the photo at the top of the page. Gray-white tile runs in a herringbone pattern across the back wall and stacks vertically on the side wall. The surround has a recessed niche with glass shelves and matte black shower fixtures, and the floor is black hexagon tile.

The green tile bathroom

The shower pairs white tile stacked vertically with a wall of dark evergreen fluted ceramic tile, plus two corner shelves and a frameless glass door. As Aaron put it, the green adds “color, warmth, and personality” to the finished remodel.

A brick-look backsplash in a remodeled kitchen

This remodeled kitchen has a brick-look tile backsplash with greige shaker cabinets and a granite island. The second photo shows the apron-front sink under the window, next to the stainless range and hood. A backsplash usually goes in near the end of a kitchen remodel, after the cabinets and countertops are in.

Review shared on Facebook · Master shower · 2025

A shout out and review to @agcontracting_ for their amazing work to our master shower! This father & daughter team is hard working, extremely knowledgeable and honest. Aaron & Ava were timely in their plan and communication was top notch. They were tidy all the way through to the end! The end result was beyond our expectations. Ava is very skilled in offering different design options and shared her past work. This young lady is nothing short of impressive. She took each river rock stone off the individual sheet. She then placed every single one by hand to its resting place. This added placement for color and shapes to be spread perfectly.

Questions about tile

Can you do just a backsplash, without remodeling the whole kitchen?

Yes. A backsplash can be a job by itself, and no job is too big or small. Call or text Aaron at (920) 850-1010 for a free quote.

Will you help us choose the tile and the layout?

Yes. Ava can walk you through design options and show you her past work, and Aaron can suggest materials and where to get them. If you already have a designer, Aaron has worked with one on customer projects before.

How long does a tile shower take?

For a full bathroom remodel, plan on 6 to 10 weeks. The glass shower door is usually the longest wait, so the sooner it is ordered, the sooner the bathroom is done. A tile-only job like a backsplash depends on the size and the materials. We talk through timing with you at the walkthrough.

Who will be doing the tile work in my house?

Aaron and Ava are on the job site every day. When a job needs another trade, Aaron brings in subcontractors he trusts.

What does a tile shower or a backsplash cost?

It depends on the size and the materials. We go through it with you at the walkthrough and put it in your quote. Quotes are free.
