Home additions, garages and exteriors in Appleton and the Fox Valley

More room, a new garage or a new look outside. We build additions and garages and update exteriors in Appleton and around the Fox Valley.

What we do

Additions, garages and exteriors: what we do

Remodeling is our main work, and bathrooms are the specialty. We take on bigger builds too: additions, garages, siding and full exterior updates.

The jobs on this page are real ones. On one house we extended the garage out, updated it with a drain, plaster and heating, and added a covered patio in the back. We built a brand new garage in 2020. In 2023 Aaron posted an addition we were framing. We also install LP SmartSide siding. Some of this work is farther from home, like an addition up in the north woods.

Aaron and Ava are on the job site every day. As Aaron puts it, “No job is too big or small.” Call or text him at (920) 850-1010 for a free quote.

We work in Appleton, Menasha, Fox Crossing, Neenah and Greenville, and nearby.

  • Home additions

More room, built onto the house you already have. The in-progress photo on this page shows one going up in 2023.

  • New garages

A garage built new. The one in our photos is a detached single-car garage with gray vinyl siding and a dark shingle roof, built in 2020.

  • Garage extensions and upgrades

On one exterior update we extended the garage out and updated it with a drain, plaster and heating.

  • Siding

Siding is part of our exterior work, including LP SmartSide.

  • Full exterior updates

A new look for the whole outside of the house. Our before and after photos show a split-level going from tan brick and dark brown siding to dark siding and gray stone veneer.

  • Covered patios

On the exterior update job we added a covered patio in the back. It has a gabled roof, a wood plank ceiling and cedar posts on stone bases.

01Additions and exteriors

The exterior update, before and after

Before: a split-level with tan brick and dark brown vertical siding. After: dark vertical and horizontal siding and gray stone veneer around the entry. We extended the garage out, updated it with a drain, plaster and heating, and added a covered patio in the back. Aaron’s post also notes a frost wall poured in the back, so that space can be finished off later.

Before the remodel: Split-level house with tan brick, dark brown vertical siding, diamond-grille windows and potted plants along the front walk. Before

02Additions and exteriors

A brand new garage

A detached single-car garage from 2020, with gray vinyl siding, a white overhead door, a white service door and a dark shingle roof. Aaron’s post about it started with three words: “Another happy customer.”

Questions about additions and exteriors

Do you build additions and garages, or only remodel?

Both. We are a home remodeling contractor first, and bathrooms are the specialty. Bigger builds are part of the work too: additions, garages, siding and exterior updates. Deb Visser MacKenzie said it this way in her Facebook recommendation: “If you need a new build, or any remodeling done, please consider hiring Aaron.”

How much does an addition or a new garage cost?

It depends on the size and the materials. We go through it with you at the walkthrough and put it in your quote. The quote is free.

How long does an addition take?

It depends on the size and the materials, and outside work depends on the weather too. We go through the timing with you at the walkthrough.

Do I need a permit for an addition or a garage, and who handles it?

Additions and new garages usually need a building permit, and the rules vary by city and town. We take care of the permit for you.

Will Aaron be on site, or do you send a crew?

Aaron and Ava are on the job site every day. Aaron’s advice to homeowners: “When hiring a builder/contractor, make sure you find one that is on site all the time and involved in the process of your project.” He also brings in subcontractors he trusts.
