We are Aaron Gullickson and his daughter Ava. Aaron owns AG Contracting & Remodeling, and we are both on the job site every day.
We are a father and daughter who do this work together.
We are a small, family-run business based in Appleton. We’re not just contractors. We’re your neighbors in the Fox Valley. We also work in Neenah, Menasha, Greenville and Fox Crossing.
Ava’s favorite projects are bathroom remodels, and bathrooms are our specialty. We love doing bathroom remodels, and especially new tiling in the showers.
The shower pictured here is from the green tile bathroom on our projects page. We posted it in August 2026.
Wendy Ihlenfeldt’s review, from 2025, describes Ava at work on a master shower. Ava took each river rock stone off its sheet and placed every single one by hand.
This father & daughter team is hard working, extremely knowledgeable and honest. Aaron & Ava were timely in their plan and communication was top notch. They were tidy all the way through to the end!
Aaron’s advice to anyone hiring a contractor is to “make sure you find one that is on site all the time and involved in the process of your project.” That is how we run our own jobs.
We help with layout and materials, and we bring in subcontractors we trust. We have also worked with a designer on customer projects. If the job needs a permit, we take care of it.
Not everything goes to plan. Remodels always come with surprises. The difference is in how your contractor communicates and fixes them.
Tracy Lamb wrote in a Google review, “We have had them do several projects throughout the years.” The most recent was a full kitchen remodel, with hardwood floor work and a refaced fireplace.
Judith Hintz wrote about a master bathroom remodel from spring 2019: “We still get compliments on our space 6 years later.”
You can read these and the rest on our reviews page.
As a family-run business, it really stands out that they are the ones personally doing the work, which speaks volumes about their pride and commitment to quality.
How we work
Our motto, in two words. We build bathrooms and kitchens that last for years, not months.
We are both on your job site every day.
If we open a wall and find a problem, you hear about it from us in person, along with how we plan to fix it.
The work happens in your home. Wendy Ihlenfeldt’s review says we were tidy all the way through to the end.
Next step
Tell us what you are planning. We will set up a time to walk through the space with you, and the quote is free. Or call or text Aaron.
Aaron is fantastic to work with. He’s reliable and trustworthy, and his craftsmanship is second to none.
